About Anna Belle

Anna Belle is a writing alter-ego of TaraJCHM. What she writes does not represent the beliefs of TaraJCHM. Rather, she represents the decent but traditionalist viewpoint. Her viewpoints are a summary of the views of Tara's decent but traditionalist friends. Tara wants to use this character to showcase how one can have traditional beliefs yet still be decent.

Article Review: A Better America: We Need Americans' Help

The United States of America is one of the most powerful nations on Earth. As such, it should use its power wisely. Sometimes it has, sometimes it has not. However, the new nonsense-based foreign policy musings of Palin et al is firmly steering it into the 'not' category.

Right now, the US is handling its foreign affairs poorly. Its involvement in Asia is making things too complicated for all parties, and the best thing it could do is to withdraw from there altogether. US international image is also suffering thanks to Bush's presidency.

Ron Paul is a Republican, and I don't admire his domestic politics. However, had he been a contender in this year's election, he would have had my support. Why? He had the best foreign policy for the US in a long time. Let me explain. Once upon a time the US had a 'non-interventionist' foreign policy that worked well for them. Then Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and everything changed. The thing is that, Pearl Harbor won't happen again, and it would be logical for the US to revert back to former foreign policy. This would help the US channel its money and power to better use.

Only Americans, who vote, can make this happen.
