In light of the recent shooting tragedy, US President Barack Obama is rolling out a gun control plan, including banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. This would be common sense that would have been done long ago, if this were not America. However, even now, there is plenty of resistance to Obama's plan.
There's suggestions of better school safety and armed guards in schools. I have been a long supporter of having police stationed in schools. But that's still not enough. Children's safety is of utmost importance, and tragedies like this must be prevented before they can happen. We need every bit of the safety net. Would the pro-gun camp think about the implications of their actions, please.
